I wrote the novel, Deuced, which was published in 2005.  It's about media and identity, relationships and perception.  Here's a review of Deuced from a British fellowship.  Also, here's an interview.  You can catch a peek inside at Google Books.  Jail Time for Bonzo

Bonzo was a chimp who lived like a man. Or tried to.

He wore clothes. Ate at the table. Used the toilet. Watched TV. One time he was even in a television commercial driving a car (he wasn’t really driving).

It wasn’t always fun living like a man. The clothes were tight. And he had to sit up straight. But Bonzo did it for a woman. A really nice woman.

They shared a bed. And antidepressants.

Then one day the really nice woman’s friend came by for a visit. The friend was Bonzo’s friend, too. But her new haircut made her look masculine and unknown.

Bonzo went bestial...

 

 

Dungeons & Democrats

"A party of Democrats journeys across the Beltway.  They encounter a blue Will of the People in the marsh.  The blue Will of the People asks the party to travel to the Capitol and cast an Iraq War Funding bill with a Troop Withdrawal Timeline, putting a 200 turn duration on the Occupation.  The party does a reaction check roll.  Murtha rolls a 17.  Pelosi rolls an 18.  Reid rolls an 18.  Durbin rolls a 20. They set off for the Capitol..."

"It was a pretty big shock when Godzilla was diagnosed with cancer.  But it wasn’t a surprise.  The guy’s career had been built on radiation.  And rampaging through cities.

Some people said he had it coming; mainly people who lived in the cities through which he had rampaged, or had lost loved ones in said rampages.

Godzilla never really talked about his illness.  He just went back to Monster Island to be close to the other kaiju during treatment..."
