Perry Crowe is a writer. That writing takes many forms -- from hard news to fantastical fiction, cultural criticism to cartoons -- and it's all here. So roll up your sleeves, put on a bib, warm up a pot of coffee and gird your loins.
Some background: Perry was born in Mounds View, Minnesota, a northern suburb of St. Paul. He earned a degree in English, with an emphasis on writing, from the University of Iowa and then headed to Los Angeles to pursue work as a screenwriter. After half a dozen or so years in the entertainment industry, Perry wrote a book, remembered how much he loved the written word and ducked out of the picture shows to work as a journalist. After years in the alternative press, Perry landed an editorship at The Los Angeles Times. He is currently an editor for Kirkus Media in Brooklyn, New York, where he is reaching for that brass ring.
